Computer Relocation
The planning of every move is centered on your company’s computers, file servers, and network printers. Our project team will work very closely with your IT and data staff to create a detailed relocation plan that centers around meeting your unique time requirements. The relocation schedule will be designed to ensure all technology is packed, moved, and placed in its new location first. This means that if your company is relocating over a weekend, all of your computer equipment will be in place on Friday night!
Computer disconnects and reconnects, we can help!
Part of the challenge in moving your company’s computer equipment is the time and labor required to prepare the networked PC’s. Each computer needs to be taken apart, cables disconnected, and all components separated. The related cables along with the keyboard and mouse need to be packed in a computer zip lock bag. The zip lock bag needs to be tagged with the proper destination location before final packing into a computer bin.
When the computers arrive at the new location the process needs to be reversed. The last step involved is to power up the computer and test for a network connection. A check off procedure will be in place to make sure each PC has been verified and trouble reports created for any problems.
The skilled technicians at J. D. Carton Metro can perform all of these time consuming duties for you. This will free up your IT staff for more important tasks associated with the relocation.
Flat Screen Monitors and Component Packing
All of the components of your company’s PC’s are carefully packed into specially designed computer bins. Quilted fabric padding wraps each piece before placement into the computer bin. The bin will hold two desktop units and each bin is sealed after packing. The computer bins are not stacked in the truck and are only “floor loaded.” All of our trucks have the special “Air-Ride” suspension system that is mandatory for the transportation of sensitive electronic equipment.
Flat screen monitors pose a special challenge during relocation. J. D. Carton Metro has designed a special crate and packaging system to make sure these sensitive screens are not scratched or punctured during the handling process. This system is used for all flat screen monitors, no matter their size.
Our Quality Pledge
The experts at J. D. Carton Metro understand the importance of safely handling all of your sensitive electronic equipment and we want you to be assured that each PC, printer, scanner or other electronic device will be packaged and moved using only the best materials and methods.
