At J. D. Carton & Son Metro we understand how valuable your employee’s possessions are. The relocation process is stressful enough without them having to worry about where their furnishings will be stored. If you need our storage services for just a few days or a few years you can be assured your employee’s possessions will be well taken care of. We have been storing our customer’s possessions for over 50 years.

Our Vault Storage System

When the transferring employee requires storage services for their possessions you can feel confident that our team will take good care of their belongings while they are in our care. Each piece is inventoried prior to leaving the home so everyone knows exactly what was sent to storage. The furnishings are padded in quilted moving blankets and placed in large wooden vaults. We will only store items from one customer in each vault. Each vault is sealed and placed in our warehouse utilizing our locater system. For pieces too large for vault storage we have dedicated a special area of our warehouse for oversize items.

Storage Method

Each vault holds about 200 cubic feet of household goods and your sales person will help you estimate the total number of vaults you will need. Your furnishings are wrapped in quilted pads and placed in the vault. The vault is then sealed and stacked in the warehouse. The vaults are constructed from wood and are designed to be stacked up to four high in our warehouse. All of our vaults are tracked and monitored by our locator system and no customers ever share a vault. Your possessions will stay in that vault until you request final delivery.
